FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL

  • Glass Dome can accommodate 100–900 guests.

    • Level 1: Up to 450 seated / 600 standing

    • Level 1 + Level 2: Up to 600 seated / 900 standing

  • Corporate events, conferences, networking sessions, product launches, exhibitions, workshops, community events, gala dinners, weddings, celebrations, performances and immersive experiences. ( add to gallery )

  • Yes. We encourage clients to arrange a site recce before confirming their booking. ( link to the enquiry) 

  • Smoke detector isolation charges will apply at $250/event.

  • Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas outside the venue. Yes, basic first aid assistance is available on-site.

  • Yes. We work with trusted catering partners who offer a range of menus, including halal catering options. Alcohol is also permitted, and you can view the available options here.

  • Yes. A built-in stage is available. If you engage our AVL services, at least one technician will be on standby throughout your event. We also offer event support and can recommend additional services based on your event needs.

  • Glass Dome is within walking distance of Telok Ayer MRT and Raffles Place MRT. Public parking is available at Far East Square, but parking coupons are not provided. Limited chargeable VIP parking is available upon request. Vendors may also use the loading bay at the Far East Square car park, subject to availability. Click here to view directions

  • Yes. A built-in stage is available. If you engage our AVL services, at least one technician will be on standby throughout your event. You can view our AVL rates here.   • Yes. Decorations are welcome, provided they do not damage the venue. However, with our state-of-the-art LED assets, you may wish to consider digital creatives for a more immersive experience.

    Battery-operated candles are preferred, while real-flame candles require prior approval. Fog machines and other special effects may require smoke detector isolation, which is chargeable at $250 per event. Live bands and DJs are permitted with prior approval.

Terms & Conditions

  • 1.HOLDING

    • Upon Glass Dome’s response to the client’s enquiry, Glass Dome will hold the requested Event Date with no cost for 72 hours.

    • Holding of the Event Date does not determine confirmability, and may be given to another customer if not soft booked or confirmed by then. If the client remains undecided by the end of the 72 hour period, Glass Dome will drop the holding date.

    2. SOFT BOOKING 

    • To soft book the Glass Dome for a specific date(s), a $3,000 non-refundable fee will be issued, which reserves the date for the client until up to 3 months to the selected event date. Soft booking is only in effect once the $3,000 invoice is paid. 

    • In the event that Glass Dome receives another request for the same date, Glass Dome will grant the client 72 hours on our priority list to confirm the booking. 

    • Failure to pay the soft booking fee within the 72 hours will result in either
      a) Glass Dome dropping the booking
      b) ONE (1) EVENT DATE CHANGE*

    3a. CONFIRMED BOOKING (50%)

    • Confirmed Booking (50%)

    • Invoice of 50% of Venue Estimate. Deduction of $3,000 soft booking cost if client had been soft booking the event date prior to confirming the event date.

    3b. FINAL PAYMENT (100%)

    • Confirmed Booking (100%)

    • Invoice of second 50% of Venue Estimate + Add-On cost estimates.

    • Security Deposit, amount determined on a case-by-case basis.

    • Security Deposit is refunded within 3 weeks after the event date if there is no damage to Glass Dome’s venue, infrastructure, equipment and furniture.

    *EVENT DATE CHANGES T&C

    • In the event of a date change, either from failure to pay softbooking fee, or other reasons (not including FORCE MAJEURE):

    • IF the request to change event date is more than or equal to 6 months from the event date, one (1) complimentary date change is allowed within +6 months after the event date. 

    • (example: 1st May 2026 client issues a date change, event date is 1 August 2026, date change is available up to 1st February 2027)

    • 1st date change is complimentary, IF event date is 6 months or longer away from current date.

    • For other date changes after 1st change, Glass Dome reserves the right to drop the booking entirely, refuse the change, grant the change for free or grant the change with an administrative fee on a case-by-case basis.

    • Date availability for date changes does not include already booked and confirmed dates from other clients.

    • IF the initially booked date was less than 6 months away from current date, Glass Dome reserves the right to charge an administrative fee on a case-by-case basis, or drop the booking.

    FORCE MAJEURE

    • If your event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond anyone's control (such as government restrictions or natural disasters), there will be no refunds, but Glass Dome will offer a complimentary date change within 6 months after the event date, regardless of the time between the current date and event date.

    • All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

    • Deposit will be forfeited if cancellation notice is 3 months or less.

    • 100% of payment will be forfeited if cancellation is made 2 months or less before the event. 

    •  A refundable security deposit is required to cover damages, cleaning, or losses.

    • GLASS DOME LTD reserves the right to inspect the venue at all times and if there is no damange or loss, the deposit will be refunded to the Hirer within 2 weeks from the event date.

    • Unremoved bulky waste will be disposed of at the Hirer’s cost.

  • The Hirer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GLASS DOME LTD and its agents from all liabilities, claims, and damages arising from the event, including personal injury, property damage, copyright infringement, or regulatory breaches.

    • The Hirer will maintain Public Liability Insurance of at least SGD 1 million with GLASS DOME LTD named as an interested party.

    • Worker’s compensation insurance is required for all staff and contractors.

    • Valid insurance certificate must be submitted prior to the event.

    • Submit PE-endorsed Single Line Drawing (SLD) and layout 14 working days prior (if applicable).

    • Submit licensed plumber drawings (if applicable) 10 working days prior.

    • No gas usage allowed onsite.

    ​

    • Submit Set-up & Tear Down schedule 14 working days before event.

    • Any structure above 2.4m must have PE endorsement.

    • Daily debris removal is required. No skip tanks are provided.

    • No open flames, helium balloons, confetti, smoking, or flammables allowed.

    ​

    • Hirer is responsible for general cleaning and waste removal. Please provide cleaning contracts as proof of service.

    • For large scale events, please engage qualified security company to manage your event. Please provide security contracts as proof of service.

    • Hirer must secure valuables. GLASS DOME LTD is not liable for loss or damage.

    ​

    • Venue must be returned in our default setting and in a clean and undamaged state.

    • GLASS DOME LTD reserves the right to deduct and withhold security deposit until all arrears (damages, rubbish, utilities) are cleared.

    • If applicable, the Hirer is responsible for obtaining and submitting all required permits, licences, contracts, and insurance documents at least 14 working days before the event.
